Jan brings a track record of training and consultancy to develop organisations, release the potential of individuals, improve services and strengthen communities.



She has considerable experience of consultancy work specialising in:

Jan is a board member of Fair Deal, a successful social enterprise supporting people with learning disabilities, their families and carers, in Glasgow’s Southside to lead independent lives.

Susan Devlin Susan Devlin

Susan Devlin, non-executive director. A former executive director, Susan is the Head of Children’s Services in a large Scottish council and continues her involvement in the company by sharing her knowledge and expertise of public services and acting as a critical friend.


She is a highly effective, motivated communicator with particular skills in service planning and design, evaluation and review, partnership working, interpreting policy and implementing into operational practice and resource maximisation.

Jo Kennedy Jo Jo Kennedy brings a special interest and strength as a consultant in community development, change management, strategic planning, evaluation and participation in the public and private sectors.

Strong skills include planning and evaluation, work with teams and organisations, training and is published in the community care field.

She has a global dimension to her work ranging from an international pharmaceutical company to an international religious organisation from Edinburgh to Africa via Rome.

Jo gets a buzz supporting people who are passionate about what they do, to work more effectively.

She’s an associate of the Scottish Community Development Centre and a staff member on the Craighead Institute’s Diploma in Organisational Consultancy and Facilitation.

Bob Lamb Bob Lamb is an associate of devlinbeattie partnership ltd. Bob is a qualified lawyer specialising in the field of social work procurement, contracting and performance management. He has previous extensive experience of working within the local authority, private and voluntary sectors. Bob Lamb

Bob’s particular skills are; tendering procedures and evaluation, contract specifications and performance management, procurement strategies, legislation and practice, risk management strategies for commissioning services and polices and procedures for consistent and lawful purchasing.

He is also retained by a provider of educational support to London Boroughs.

Jane MacKenzie Jane MacKenzie Jane brings particular expertise in equality and advice work.

She worked for nine years with the Chief Executive’s Department in Glasgow City Council advising Council departments on equality law, policy and practice, with a specific focus on disability and age. Jane led on the development of the Council’s first Disability Equality Scheme, including the creation of a corporate action plan and arrangements for consultation/involvement and monitoring and evaluation.

Jane also led on the Council’s first programme of Equality Impact Assessments, developing the authority’s approach to the work, assisting departments to plan, conduct, monitor and evaluate assessments and facilitating training and advice sessions for Council officers undertaking the assessments.

She also chaired a Council wide working group on improving physical access to Council services, securing agreement and prioritisation of a million pounds’ worth of improvements in the first year.

Before working with the Council, Jane co-ordinated the work of a voluntary sector training and development agency (Strathclyde Credit Union Development Agency) which trained community groups to set up and manage financial co-operatives. Jane worked to a Board of Directors and managed staff, a review of the agency’s training function, developed its profile and managed an expansion of funding sources.

Jane has also worked as an associate with the Active Learning Centre, which undertakes a wide range of capacity building work with communities at home and internationally, with a particular focus on women.

She worked with the Equal Opportunities Commission for five years, advising individuals, employers, trade unions and solicitors on sex discrimination and equal pay, and preparing cases for employment tribunals.
